Job summary

E-ACT Shenley Academy in Birmingham is seeking an experienced Teacher of Science for maternity cover. You will develop, plan and deliver high-quality lessons that enable all students to progress, while maintaining a positive, inclusive classroom environment and using data to inform instruction.

The role requires QTS or equivalent, a degree in a science subject, and the ability to teach at least a good to outstanding level, with strong classroom management and collaboration with colleagues.

Qualifications

• Qualified teacher status or recognised equivalent.
• Degree in subject specialism.
• Ability to teach 'good or outstanding' lessons.
• Effective classroom management.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality Science lessons that engage, challenge and inspire students.
• Plan, prepare and assess learning in line with curriculum requirements, ensuring all students make strong progress.
• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment with high expectations and respect.
• Use assessment data to inform teaching and provide timely feedback to support student growth.
• Collaborate with other professionals and support staff to enhance learning.
