Job summary

Supply Desk is partnering with a welcoming, high‑performing secondary school in Maidenhead to recruit a dedicated Science Teacher for a September start. You will deliver engaging lessons across KS3/KS4, underpinning GCSE preparation, practical work and assessment feedback in a supportive department.

QTS or equivalent and experience across KS3/KS4 are expected; ECTs welcome. You will contribute to safeguarding, CPD, and a positive learning culture within the school community.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Experience teaching Science at secondary level across KS3 and KS4.
• ECTs welcome to apply with relevant teaching placements.
• Strong subject knowledge across one or more Science disciplines.
• Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills.
• Engaging, enthusiastic and supportive teaching style.
• Availability to start in September.
• Ability to commute to Maidenhead, Berkshire.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality Science lessons across KS3/KS4.
• Cover Biology, Chemistry, Physics as required.
• Prepare students for internal assessments and GCSEs.
• Lead engaging practical investigations and demonstrations.
• Maintain a positive, inclusive classroom environment.
• Assess progress and provide constructive feedback.
• Differentiate lessons to meet diverse learning needs.
• Collaborate with the Science department and staff.
• Build positive relationships with students, parents and colleagues.
