Job summary

Supply Desk, in partnership with a welcoming secondary school in Denham, is seeking a dedicated Science Teacher to start in September. You will deliver high-quality Science lessons across KS3 and KS4, fostering curiosity and practical skills.

The role requires QTS or equivalent, experience teaching KS3/KS4, and the ability to manage classes effectively. You will work with the department to deliver engaging lessons and support GCSE preparation.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent required.
• Experience teaching Science at KS3/KS4.
• ECTs welcome with relevant placements.
• Strong subject knowledge across Science disciplines.
• Excellent classroom and behaviour management.
• Engaging, enthusiastic teaching style.
• Available to start in September.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging Science lessons in line with the National Curriculum.
• Teach Science across KS3 and KS4, including Biology, Chemistry and Physics where required.
• Prepare students for internal assessments and GCSE examinations.
• Deliver safe, effective, and engaging practical investigations and demonstrations.
• Create a positive, inclusive, and well-managed classroom environment.
• Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.
• Differentiate lessons to meet a range of learning needs and abilities.
• Maintain high expectations for behaviour, engagement, and achievement.
• Work collaboratively with the Science department and wider school staff.
• Build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
