Job summary

Protocol Education are recruiting for a Religious Studies Teacher to join a secondary school in Redcar on a full-time basis from September. The successful candidate will deliver engaging RS lessons across KS3 and KS4, with strong subject knowledge and a commitment to student progress.

Ideally you will hold QTS and have experience teaching Religious Studies in a secondary school setting. The role is temporary/full-time with a supportive Humanities department and a focus on student achievement.

• QTS desirable
• Strong subject knowledge in Religious Studies
• Experience teaching KS3 and KS4
• Excellent classroom management skills
• Passionate about supporting students to achieve their potential
• Able to plan and deliver engaging, inclusive lessons
• Reliable, adaptable and committed to working as part of a school team

Responsibilities

• Teach Religious Studies across KS3 and KS4
• Plan and deliver engaging, well-structured and differentiated lessons
• Support students to develop their knowledge, critical thinking and understanding of religious and ethical issues
• Prepare KS4 students effectively for examinations
• Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback
• Maintain high expectations of behaviour, achievement and engagement
• Contribute positively to the wider Humanities/RS Department
• Build strong, professional relationships with students and colleagues
