Watling Academy in Milton Keynes invites applications for a Religious Studies Teacher to join our outstanding team. This permanent role starts January 2027 with a salary from MPS1 (£34,069) to UPS3 (£52,835). A temporary Teaching and Learning role (TLR2 £8,100) may be available for the right candidate to lead RE.

You will design engaging lessons to promote critical thinking, empathy and cultural understanding, inspiring students across years 11–18 at a thriving, Ofsted-rated 'Outstanding' school.

Responsibilities

• Inspire students to explore rich religious beliefs and practices, including Judaism, Christianity, Buddhism and more.
• Ignite curiosity and critical thinking, fostering an environment where questioning, evaluating and reasoning are fundamental.
• Guide students to empathise with diverse backgrounds and reflect on personal beliefs and actions.
