Job summary

Marchant Recruitment is assisting a Liverpool-based Outstanding School in recruiting a Religious Education Teacher to join the Humanities Department. The role covers KS3 and KS4 (GCSE) with a focus on fostering discussion and critical thinking.

The successful candidate will deliver engaging RE lessons, manage classrooms effectively and contribute to assessment and curriculum development within a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Degree in Religious Studies, Theology, Philosophy or related subject.
• QTS or recognised teaching qualification.
• Experience teaching RE at secondary level.
• GCSE RE experience.
• Strong knowledge of religious and ethical issues.
• Excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Teach RE across KS3 and KS4, including GCSE.
• Lead classroom discussions and promote respectful debate.
• Deliver lessons that develop understanding of religion, ethics and philosophy.
• Collaborate with Humanities team on curriculum planning and assessment.
