Job summary

Buckton Vale Primary School is seeking an enthusiastic, committed teacher to join our dedicated team on a maternity cover basis. The role is fixed term, full-time, and aligned to the Main Pay Scale (M1–M6) depending on experience.

Starting 11 January 2027, you will plan, deliver and assess high-quality lessons, support pupil progress, and work closely with colleagues, parents and external agencies to uphold the school's values and promote safeguarding.

Qualifications

• QTS and experience in a primary setting.
• Strong knowledge of the Primary National Curriculum.
• High expectations for pupil achievement and behaviour.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Commitment to safeguarding and welfare of children.

Responsibilities

• Plan, deliver and assess high-quality lessons.
• Support pupils to make progress relative to needs.
• Maintain accurate records of pupil progress and provide feedback.
• Collaborate with colleagues, parents and external agencies.
• Contribute to wider life of the school and uphold ethos.
• Attend safeguarding duties and promote pupil wellbeing.
