Job summary

Kernow Learning seeks a committed class teacher for Beacon Academy in Bodmin to inspire confidence, curiosity and a love of learning. You will create an inclusive classroom where every child thrives, building strong relationships with pupils, families and colleagues.

The role is full-time and fixed-term, Monday to Friday, with a commitment to safeguarding and ongoing professional development within a supportive Trust.

Qualifications

• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
• Deliver engaging, high-quality teaching that supports strong progress and positive outcomes.
• Create an inclusive and stimulating classroom environment where children feel safe, valued and supported.
• Build positive and professional relationships with pupils, families and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver high-quality learning experiences that engage and support all pupils.
• Assess, monitor and record pupil progress, using assessment information to inform teaching and learning.
• Create a positive learning environment.
• Adapt teaching to meet the needs of all learners, including pupils with SEND.
• Build positive partnerships with parents, carers and colleagues to support pupil achievement and wellbeing.
• Contribute to curriculum development and the wider life of the school.
• Participate fully in professional development, school events and team collaboration as required.
• Uphold the school's values and fulfil the professional duties set out in the Teachers' Standards.
• Safeguard and promote the welfare of all children and young people.
