Job summary

Greenfields Academy is seeking a dedicated Physical Education teacher to inspire students with SEMH needs through engaging PE and sport. You will deliver high-quality lessons, adapt activities to individual abilities and support pupils' physical, social and emotional development.

The successful candidate will have proven PE teaching experience, strong communication skills and a commitment to safeguarding and inclusion.

Qualifications

• Proven experience of teaching PE, preferably within a specialist SEMH or SEND setting.
• Strong understanding of how PE can support the academic, social, emotional and physical development of young people.
• Ability to adapt teaching and learning to meet SEMH needs.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to safeguarding and inclusion.

Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver high-quality PE lessons across all Key Stages.
• Plan a progressive PE curriculum tailored to SEMH needs.
• Adapt activities to ensure access for all pupils.
• Monitor pupil progress in PE and inform future planning.
• Organise inter-school competitions and clubs.
• Promote positive behaviour through sport.
• Collaborate with colleagues to align PE with SEMH outcomes.
• Maintain safe PE facilities and equipment.
