Job summary

Edintervention seeks an enthusiastic PE Teacher to join its specialist SEMH/SEND school in Salford. This full-time, permanent role starts on 1 September 2026 or earlier.

You will deliver KS4 Physical Education, promote physical literacy, wellbeing and lifelong activity, working with Head of School and multidisciplinary team to embed therapeutic ethos. You will personalise learning for pupils with SEND/SEMH, use assessment to track progress, build positive relationships with learners and

Qualifications

• Experience in specialist SEMH/therapeutic settings, alternative provision, or SEND experience from a mainstream setting.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Alignment with the organisation's values and a passion for inclusion, together with the belief that every learner can thrive with the right support.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging, well-sequenced Physical Education lessons that inspire confidence, participation and enjoyment in physical activity.
• Personalise learning to meet the needs of pupils with SEND/SEMH, ensuring progress from each learner's starting point.
• Promote safeguarding, behaviour, health and wellbeing through relational practice.
• Use assessment, data and evidence-informed strategies to monitor progress and support personal development.
• Build strong relationships with pupils, families, external agencies and colleagues.
• Contribute to a curriculum that is ambitious, accessible and responsive to learners' needs, promoting healthy lifestyles and inclusive participation in sport.
