Marchant Recruitment is assisting a creative secondary academy in Weymouth to find a Music Teacher for a full-time, permanent role starting in January. You will cover KS3, GCSE Music, and A-Level Music/Music Technology, delivering both practical and theoretical lessons.

You will work with the Head of Music and peripatetic tutors to support ensembles and coordinate termly concerts, while guiding pupils through graded exams (ABRSM/Trinity) and safeguarding duties.

Qualifikationen

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or recognised UK teaching credentials (PGCE / SCITT)
• Honours degree in Music, Music Performance, Composition, or closely related discipline
• Proven track record or potential for delivering GCSE/A-Level Music outcomes

Aufgaben

• Teach practical and theoretical Music across KS3, KS4, KS5
• Direct or assist with ensembles (choirs, bands, chamber groups)
• Guide GCSE/A-Level pupils through composition software, performance and listening papers
• Organise termly concerts, inter-house music competitions, and showcases
• Collaborate with peripatetic tutors to track pupil progress
• Fulfill pastoral duties as a Form Tutor
