Job summary

A vibrant Poole secondary academy seeks a Teacher of Music to join its Expressive Arts faculty on a full-time, permanent basis starting in January. You will deliver practical and theoretical Music across KS3–KS5, support vocal and instrumental ensembles, and direct seasonal concerts and showcases.

Applicants should hold QTS or PGCE and an Honours degree in Music, with a track record of strong GCSE/A-Level outcomes and a willingness to collaborate with visiting tutors and staff on music

Qualifications

• QTS or recognised UK teaching credentials (PGCE/SCITT).
• Honours degree in Music or related discipline; GCSE/A-Level music outcomes.
• Proven ability to deliver engaging Music education across KS3–KS5.

Responsibilities

• Teach practical and theoretical Music across KS3–KS5.
• Direct or assist with ensembles and school concerts.
• Guide pupils through composition, performance, and listening papers.
• Collaborate with peripatetic tutors and track pupil progress.
• Fulfill pastoral duties as a Form Tutor.
