Job summary

Kenilworth School and Sixth Form is seeking a Music Teacher to join a busy, well-supported department on a 0.8 FTE basis for maternity cover from January 2027 to August 2027. The school prides itself on outstanding Ofsted reports and a vibrant music program that includes GCSE Music (Eduqas), NCFE Technical Award in Music Technology, and growing A Level provision.

The successful candidate will be aspirational, creative and able to teach across Key Stages 3–5, with a competent piano playing

Qualifications

• Ability to teach across KS3 to KS5 with engaging delivery.
• Experience with GCSE Music (Eduqas) and Music Technology acceptable but not essential.
• Willingness to contribute to extra-curricular ensembles.

Responsibilities

• Teach Music to students across Key Stages 3–5.
• Deliver GCSE Music and lead Music Technology options where possible.
• Support and develop the department ensembles and extracurricular activities.
