Job summary

Kenilworth School and Sixth Form is seeking a fixed-term maternity cover Music teacher. The post involves teaching across Key Stage 3 to Key Stage 5, including GCSE and the NCFE Technical Award in Music Technology, as well as the new Music Technology A Level. You will contribute to a busy extra-curricular programme and school productions.

The role offers excellent CPD opportunities and a supportive team. Visa sponsorship is not available.

Responsibilities

• Teach music across all ability ranges from Key Stage 3 to Key Stage 5.
• Teach GCSE music using the Eduqas specification.
• Deliver the NCFE Technical Award in Music Technology at Key Stage 4.
• Teach the new Music Technology A Level.
• Support the extra-curricular programme, including the orchestra, brass and jazz ensembles and Music Technology sessions.
• Contribute to annual concerts and performances.
• Work with the Drama department on the annual whole-school productions.

Job description

This fixed-term maternity cover post teaches music at Kenilworth School and Sixth Form, running from January to August 2027. The teacher covers Key Stage 3 to Key Stage 5, including GCSE, the NCFE Technical Award in Music Technology and a new Music Technology A Level. The department of three teachers holds Music Mark and ISM Bronze status and runs a busy extra-curricular and whole-school production programme. Visa sponsorship is not available.
