Job summary

Brighton Scholastic School in Brighton, East Sussex, is seeking an inspiring Teacher of Mathematics to join its STEM faculty on a full-time, permanent basis starting in January. Qualifications

• QTS or recognised UK teaching credentials (PGCE / SCITT).
• Honours degree in Mathematics or a quantitative discipline (e.g., Statistics, Engineering, Physics).
• Proven track record or clear potential to deliver strong GCSE/A-Level outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Teach KS3/KS4/KS5 Mathematics with engaging, rigorous lessons.
• Plan lessons to build numerical fluency and problem-solving resilience.
• Guide GCSE and A-Level pupils through assessment, feedback and exams prep.
• Utilise digital tools to enhance mathematical understanding.
• Assess and report progress across mock exams and classes.
• Fulfil pastoral duties as Form Tutor and support wellbeing.
