Job summary

Leeds Scholarly Secondary School is seeking an inspiring Teacher of Mathematics to join its STEM faculty on a full-time, permanent basis starting in January. The successful candidate will deliver engaging Maths lessons across KS3 and KS4, with opportunities to teach KS5 depending on experience.

You will work with a collaborative maths team to develop algebra, geometry, modeling and problem solving, run revision workshops, assess progress, and fulfil pastoral duties as Form Tutor.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or UK teaching credentials.
• Honors degree in Mathematics or related quantitative discipline.
• Proven track record or clear potential in GCSE/A-Level outcomes.
• Deep subject knowledge and ability to stretch ambitious pupils.
• Enhanced DBS check on the Update Service or willingness to apply.

Responsibilities

• Teach KS3/KS4/KS5 mathematics with engaging and rigorous lessons.
• Plan lessons to build numerical fluency and problem-solving resilience.
• Guide GCSE and A-Level pupils through assessments and exams with feedback.
• Utilize digital learning platforms and interactive software to aid understanding.
• Assess, track and report on progress across mock exams and classwork.
• Fulfill pastoral duties as Form Tutor and support student wellbeing.
