Job summary

Bedales School is seeking a qualified Maths Learning Support Teacher (0.7 FTE) to support neurodiverse students. Starting 4 January 2027, the role involves teaching Maths and Study Skills up to GCSE level, with opportunities to collaborate across the boarding community.

The ideal candidate will have Level 5 or 7 training and a passion for inclusive education, alongside excellent communication with students, parents, and staff. The post is in Regulated Activity.

Qualifications

• Inspirational Maths SEND teacher with experience in teaching Mathematics and Study Skills to a range of abilities.
• Thorough knowledge of learning strategies for neurodiverse learners.
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a busy boarding community.
• Level 5 or Level 7 training preferred; experience with GCSE-level English/Study Skills is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Teach 1:1 Maths Learning Support sessions and group lessons.
• Undertake lesson observations and devise classroom support strategies.
• Contribute to the development of inclusive learning plans and support materials.
