Dorchester Learning Centre is seeking a Maths and Science teacher for January 2027, to deliver personalised learning for pupils aged 5–16 who access education outside mainstream settings. Class sizes are small (8–10), with Learning Mentor support, and a strong focus on creating positive relationships and resilience.

Applicants should have experience teaching Maths to GCSE level and working with pupils with complex needs, with ongoing professional development encouraged.

Qualifications

• Experience teaching Maths to GCSE standard.
• Experience with pupils with ASD and SEMH.
• Ability to build strong professional relationships with pupils who have complex needs.
• Willingness to engage in professional development.

Responsabilités

• Deliver Maths and Science to pupils aged 5–16 with personalised learning.
• Plan and prepare activities aligned to the national curriculum to develop social communication.
• Support behaviour management and create positive classroom environments.
• Communicate regularly with colleagues and families about pupil needs.
