Job summary

Oasis Academy Don Valley in Sheffield is seeking a dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to support learning across our primary phase. You will help deliver engaging lessons, provide high-quality PPA cover and support learning across year groups to raise achievement and confidence.

You will work closely with teachers, families and the wider school team to promote inclusivity, positive behaviour and high expectations for every child, helping prepare them for the next steps in their

Qualifications

• 3 GCSEs (incl English and Maths) at minimum grade C/4 or equivalent.
• HLTA qualification is desirable, with support available for the right candidate.
• Experience supporting or leading learning in a primary setting is expected.

Responsibilities

• Lead learning during teacher release time and planned absence.
• Deliver targeted interventions to support pupil progress.
• Create engaging learning activities and resources.
• Support assessment and monitoring of attainment.
• Promote positive behaviour and high expectations.
• Provide pastoral support to help pupils feel safe and valued.
• Collaborate with colleagues and families to secure the best outcomes.
