Job summary

Just Teachers Ltd in Doncaster is seeking a committed History Teacher for a full-time, long-term role starting September 2026, with a view to permanence. You will plan and deliver engaging History lessons aligned to the national curriculum and support student progress.

The ideal candidate holds QTS (or equivalent), a History degree, and UK secondary school experience with KS3/KS4, strong behaviour management, and clear communication. DBS enhanced is preferred or willingness to obtain.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Degree in History or closely related discipline.
• Experience teaching History at KS3 and KS4 in a UK secondary school.
• Enhanced DBS on the update service, or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, well-structured History lessons in line with the national curriculum.
• Create an inclusive classroom environment that both supports and challenges students to achieve their best.
• Monitor, assess, and record student progress, providing constructive feedback to encourage continued development.
• Play an active role in shaping the History department and improving teaching resources.
• Take part in staff meetings, parent consultations, and whole-school events as required.
• Champion the school’s values while maintaining high standards of behaviour and academic excellence.
