Job summary

Trigon-Recruitment is seeking a dedicated Functional Skills Maths Tutor for HMP Stocken. You will deliver Maths teaching from Entry Level 1 up to Level 2, supporting small groups to build confidence and achieve qualifications.

The role involves designing learning plans, delivering engaging sessions, and guiding learners toward personal, academic, and employment goals. The ideal candidate will hold GCSE Maths at C/4 or equivalent and be capable of teaching Functional Skills Maths up to Level 2.

Qualifications

GCSE Maths Grade C/4 or equivalent required.
Ability to teach Functional Skills Maths up to Level 2.
Experience in teaching, training, or supporting learner progress.
Ability to engage learners using a range of teaching methods.

Responsibilities

Deliver Functional Skills Maths from Entry Level 1 to Level 2 to small groups.
Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons that meet diverse learning needs.
Use varied teaching strategies to support learners from diverse backgrounds and abilities.
Provide advice, guidance, and academic support throughout the learning journey.
Create and maintain individual learning plans to track progress and support development.
Motivate learners and help build confidence and resilience.
Uphold safeguarding, equality, diversity, and health & safety standards.
