Job summary

The Education Network Birmingham is seeking a dedicated Design Technology Teacher to join a secondary school in Walsall from October 2026 on a full-time, long-term basis. You will teach Design Technology with a specialism in Food & Nutrition across KS3 and KS4, delivering engaging lessons that develop students' knowledge of food preparation, nutrition, food safety and healthy eating.

Qualifications

• Strong subject knowledge in Food Technology and Food & Nutrition.
• Experience teaching Design Technology or Food Technology at secondary level.
• Confident delivering both theoretical and practical lessons across KS3 and KS4.
• Promotes safe working practices and good food hygiene in practical lessons.
• Demonstrates effective classroom and behaviour management skills.
• Adapts teaching to meet the needs of students with different abilities.
