Job summary

NLCS in Edgware invites applications for a dynamic English teacher (full or part time, min 0.8fte) to cover maternity leave from April 2027. You will inspire a love of literature and language, teaching across the school from Year 7 through Sixth Form with high expectations for achievement.

We seek a talented and enthusiastic teacher, whether newly qualified or experienced, who can deliver engaging lessons, foster curiosity and support students’ reading, writing and critical thinking.

Qualifications

• Newly qualified or experienced English teachers considered.
• Ability to teach English to a range of abilities across Key Stages 3–5 and beyond.
• Commitment to inspiring a love of literature and language.

Responsibilities

• Teach English across the School, from Year 7 through to Sixth Form.
• Deliver engaging, challenging and intellectually stimulating lessons.
• Foster curiosity, confidence and a lifelong appreciation of reading, writing and critical thinking.
