Job summary

The Parker Academy in Daventry is seeking an inspiring and dedicated Teacher of English to join the team. You will deliver engaging, high-quality lessons that develop students' literacy skills, confidence, creativity and critical thinking, inspiring a love of reading, writing and language.

Qualifications

Qualified teacher status or recognised equivalent.
Degree in subject specialism.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, parents and carers.
Strongclassroom management skills, with the ability to create a positive, purposefuland inclusive learning environment.

Responsibilities

Plan and deliver engaging and well-structured lessons that support students of varying abilities in developing strong mathematical knowledge and problem-solving skills.
Assess, monitor, and track student progress, using data to inform teaching and provide targeted support and intervention where needed.
Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes high expectations, good behaviour, and a passion for learning mathematics.
Prepare students effectively for assessments and examinations, ensuring they are confident in applying mathematical concepts and techniques.
Contribute to the wider school community, including participating in departmental planning, extracurricular activities, and ongoing professional development.
