GSL Education Nottingham is seeking an enthusiastic English Teacher to inspire pupils and improve literacy, reading and writing skills. You will plan engaging lessons, assess progress and support learners with varied needs, including SEND/SEMH, in a welcoming, well-managed classroom.

The role is permanent and full-time, based in Nottingham, with term-time only consideration. QTS or equivalent is required, and you will join a supportive team committed to high expectations and safeguarding

Qualifications

• QTS or equivalent teaching qualification required.
• Strong English knowledge across literacy, reading, writing and grammar.
• Experience teaching or supporting secondary-aged pupils, including those with SEND/SEMH.
• Effective classroom management and ability to handle challenging situations.
• Strong communication, adaptability and relationship-building skills.
• Patient, resilient and encouraging approach to help learners overcome barriers.

Responsabilités

• Plan and deliver engaging English lessons tailored to pupils' abilities and needs.
• Develop pupils' reading comprehension, writing, spelling, grammar and communication skills.
• Adapt teaching to support pupils with SEND, SEMH and additional learning needs.
• Create a positive, structured classroom environment that promotes engagement.
• Assess pupils' progress and provide feedback to address gaps.
• Build positive relationships with pupils and collaborate with colleagues.
