Job summary

The successful candidate will hold QTS, a PGCE or equivalent, and a good degree. You will engage with ICT, support wider school activities and work as part of a committed Trust team.

Qualifications

• Hold a good quality degree, a PGCE or equivalent qualification in secondary education, and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Proven ability to deliver engaging and effective English lessons.
• Ability to adapt teaching approaches to meet individual needs and support students’ learning.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver high-quality English lessons that engage, challenge and inspire students.
• Create an inclusive classroom environment where all students make strong progress and achieve high standards.
• Use a range of teaching strategies to meet differing needs and overcome barriers to learning.
• Assess students’ knowledge and progress to inform future teaching and improvement.
• Maintain high expectations for behaviour, creating a safe learning environment.
• Contribute to the development and delivery of the English curriculum.
• Build positive relationships with students, parents and colleagues.
• Collaborate with staff to support wider personal development and wellbeing.
