Maiden Erlegh School in Reading is seeking an enthusiastic Classroom Teacher of English to plan, resource and deliver engaging lessons that promote strong progress and high academic standards. You will work with a supportive team to develop the English curriculum and contribute to the wider life of the school.
The successful candidate will hold a good degree, a PGCE or equivalent in secondary education, and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).

You will plan, resource and deliver highly effective lessons, contribute to curriculum development and create a safe, purposeful and ambitious learning environment in which students can make strong progress and achieve high academic standards.
You will use a range of effective teaching approaches to engage students, promote enjoyment of English and overcome barriers to learning. The successful candidate will establish positive professional relationships with students, colleagues, parents and carers and will contribute positively to the wider life of the school and Trust.
