Job summary

Tudhoe Moor Nursery School, part of Durham County Council, seeks an enthusiastic Early Years Teaching Assistant to join our team in Spennymoor. The post is permanent, full-time, and intended to start January 2027 or sooner, with a 37-hour week, term-time plus two weeks, including occasional after-hours support.

You will support children aged 0–5, work as a key worker, and assist in areas of the classroom as needed.

Qualifications

• Must hold a full and relevant Early Years qualification.
• Experience in early years with children who have additional needs is essential.

Responsibilities

• Work with children aged 0–5 years old as part of the Early Years Team.
• Act as a key worker for a group of children and support inclusion.
• Uphold safeguarding and promote the welfare of pupils.
