Job summary

Vetro Recruitment is seeking a Drama Teacher in Caerphilly, South Wales to teach Years 7–9 and GCSE Drama. The role offers a full-time schedule, Monday–Friday, with 8:30 a.m.–3:30 p.m. responsibilities include delivering engaging lessons, differentiating for ability, and contributing to the school’s expressive arts faculty.

The successful candidate will have a relevant degree, QTS, and current EWC registration, with experience in Drama up to GCSE level and knowledge of the Curriculum for Wales.

Qualifications

• An appropriate degree qualification and QTS are required.
• Current registration with the Education Workforce Council (EWC) is necessary.
• Experience teaching Drama up to GCSE level is essential.
• Strong planning, assessment and target-setting skills.
• Knowledge of Curriculum for Wales implications for Drama is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging, inclusive Drama lessons to students across Years 7–9 and GCSE Drama.
• Drive strong academic outcomes through effective teaching, assessment, and feedback.
• Create a positive, stimulating learning environment aligned with the Curriculum for Wales.
• Differentiate lessons to support all learners and monitor progress with data.
• Engage with parents and stakeholders to support student development.
