Job summary

Winner Education is recruiting a Design & Technology (DT) Teacher for a welcoming SEN school in Hall Green, Birmingham. Start ASAP with Full-Time/Part-Time contracts and a salary range £167–£232 per day, depending on experience.

The successful candidate will deliver engaging DT lessons, support pupils with SEMH, ASD and related needs, and collaborate with colleagues to drive student achievement in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• QTS or equivalent required.
• Experience teaching Design & Technology at secondary level.
• Strong subject knowledge and confidence delivering practical lessons.
• Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills.
• Ability to engage, motivate and inspire students.
• Commitment to supporting student progress and achievement.
• Experience with SEMH, ASD, OOD, ADHD, MLD.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging Design & Technology lessons across key stages.
• Teach a range of DT topics, including practical and theoretical elements.
• Develop students' creativity, problem-solving and practical skills.
• Prepare and maintain classroom and workshop resources.
• Ensure health and safety procedures are followed during practical lessons.
• Assess, monitor and track student progress with feedback.
