The successful candidate will have experience teaching DT at secondary level, strong subject knowledge and the ability to create a positive learning environment, while ensuring health and safety in workshop settings.

Qualifications

• Passion for Design & Technology and ability to deliver engaging, creative and practical lessons.
• Experience teaching Design & Technology at secondary school level.
• Strong subject knowledge and confidence delivering practical lessons.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging Design & Technology lessons across the relevant key stages.
• Teach a range of DT topics, including practical and theoretical elements.
• Develop students' creativity, problem-solving and practical skills.
• Prepare and maintain classroom and workshop resources.
• Ensure health and safety procedures are followed during practical lessons.
• Assess, monitor and track student progress, providing constructive feedback.
• Differentiate lessons to meet the needs and abilities of all learners.
• Maintain high standards of behaviour and classroom management.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to support curriculum development and student achievement.
• Supporting pupils on EHCPs for SEMH, ASC, ASD
