Job summary

Manor House School is seeking a Design & Technology Instructor/Teacher to deliver engaging, hands-on lessons across multiple Key Stages. You will work closely with the Senior Leadership Team to raise standards and support pupil progress in a supportive, inclusive environment.

You will bring a strong understanding of workshop health and safety and a passion for helping pupils with SEND and SEMH needs, fostering confidence and practical skills for life beyond school.

Qualifications

• UK QTS desirable.
• Full UK Driving Licence is required.
• Commitment to safeguarding and pupil welfare.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality Design & Technology teaching across Key Stages 1-4.
• Plan and teach engaging practical and theory-based lessons in product design, resistant materials, graphics, engineering principles.
• Use resources effectively to support high standards of learning and achievement.
• Work with the Senior Leadership Team to ensure effective curriculum delivery.
• Undertake additional curriculum responsibilities as agreed with leadership.
• Act as a form tutor and role model, supporting academic, social, and personal development.
• Support whole-school literacy, numeracy and life skills initiatives.
• Contribute to SEND provision development and delivery.
• Collaborate with parents, external agencies, and SEND pupils to promote inclusion.
