The appointment will be as a Tutor Dental Hygienist and Therapist for up to 30 hours per week. The contract will be with Birmingham Community Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust.

The tutor will facilitate learning and teach the knowledge and clinical skills required by students of Dental Hygiene and Therapy, advising, demonstrating, and instructing in the clinic and simulation suite, and overseeing the care provided by students when treating patients.

Qualifications

• Essential: current clinical experience.
• Essential: wide range of clinical experience including restorative & periodontal procedures.
• Essential: degree in Dental Hygiene and Dental Therapy and GDC registration.
• Desirable: membership of Higher Education Academy.
• Desirable: Certificate in postgraduate medical education or equivalent.
• Desirable: previous teaching experience.

Responsabilités

• Clinical and teaching responsibilities including assessment and student support.
• Contribute to teaching in clinic and simulation suite across formats.
• Monitor and support students' academic and clinical progress.
