NHS Dumfries and Galloway is seeking a Dental Therapy Tutor for 4 days per week at the Dumfries Dental Centre. The post involves teaching the BSc Oral Health Science course in collaboration with the University of Highlands and Islands, across multiple locations.

The successful applicant must be a GDC-registered dental therapist with education experience, and be prepared to obtain PVG clearance. IT familiarity and willingness to work in a remote teaching environment are beneficial.

Qualifications

• GDC registration is essential.
• Experience in teaching or training is desirable.
• Good IT skills and comfort with online teaching tools.
• Willingness to obtain PVG clearance if needed.

Responsabilités

• Deliver the University of Highlands and Islands BSc Oral Health Science course across Dumfries, Inverness and Stornoway.
• Lead and support dental therapy students in practical and theoretical teaching.
• Coordinate teaching sessions via video conferencing and VLE.

Dental Therapy Tutor

NHS Dumfries and Galloway are looking for a Dental Therapist Tutor for 4 days a week based at the Dumfries Dental Centre.

The post holder should be a registrant with the GDC and have experience of, or be willing to undertake training in, education. The successful applicant will be part of a team of tutors delivering the University of Highlands and Islands, BSc Oral Health Science, in this innovative course which spans Dumfries, Inverness and Stornoway.

Familiarity with IT systems will be helpful as teaching is undertaken across video conferencing systems and in the virtual learning environment.

This post will require the successful applicant to have/obtain PVG Clearance.

While this role is advertised as 4 days per week, we welcome applications from individuals looking for alternative working patterns and will consider any number of days.
