Job summary

Birmingham Community Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced tutor for up to 30 hours per week. The role teaches dental hygiene and dental therapy students in the clinic and simulation suite, and includes pastoral tutoring and assessment responsibilities.

Requirements include a degree in dental hygiene and dental therapy and current GDC registration with indemnity insurance. Prior clinical experience and teaching skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent in dental hygiene and dental therapy.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate learning and teach dental hygiene and therapy students in lectures, workshops and small groups.
• Instruct in the dental clinic and clinical simulation suite; supervise patient care by students.
• Act as personal tutor, providing pastoral support and monitoring academic/progress weaknesses.
• Carry out assessments as part of clinical and teaching duties.
