Job summary

Monarch Education is recruiting a reliable Cover Supervisor to support a welcoming secondary school in Manchester. You’ll supervise classes during short-term teacher absence, deliver pre-prepared materials, and help maintain a positive learning environment.

Ideal candidates will have strong communication, patience and the ability to manage pupil behaviour in line with school policies. UK work rights and Enhanced DBS are required; we welcome graduates and experienced staff seeking long-term or

Qualifications

• Experience supporting pupils with SEND (e.g. autism, SEMH, physical or sensory needs).
• Enhanced DBS on Update Service or willingness to apply is required.
• Patience, resilience and a calm, nurturing approach.

Responsibilities

• Supervise whole classes during short-term teacher absences and ensure students stay engaged with set work.
• Deliver pre-prepared lesson materials across a range of subjects.
• Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies and promote respectful learning.
• Support students with their learning and encourage participation to maximise progress.
• Collaborate with teachers and pastoral staff to provide feedback on student performance and outcomes.
