Job summary

Monarch Education in Manchester is seeking a confident Cover Supervisor to support a secondary school. You will supervise classes, deliver pre-prepared materials, and ensure learning continues in the absence of teachers.

Applicants should have SEND experience, a calm, nurturing approach, and an enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply). Roles available for full-time, part-time, supply, or long-term work.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting pupils with SEND (e.g., autism, SEMH, physical or sensory needs).
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply.
• Right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Supervise whole classes during short-term teacher absences.
• Deliver pre-prepared lesson materials across a range of subjects.
• Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies.
• Support students with their learning and encourage participation.
• Provide feedback on student performance with teaching staff.
• Monitor attendance and contribute to day-to-day school operations.
