Qualifications

• Holds (or is working towards) Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Has a degree in Computer Science or a closely related subject.
• Demonstrates strong subject knowledge, including programming and computing principles.
• Is able to inspire curiosity and enthusiasm for technology and problem-solving.
• Maintains high expectations for both academic achievement and behaviour.
• Is reflective and committed to continuous professional development.
• Works effectively as part of a collaborative and supportive teaching team.

Responsibilities

• Teach Computer Science across Key Stages 3–4, with the potential to teach Key Stage 5 depending on experience.
• Deliver engaging lessons that develop computational thinking, programming skills and digital literacy.
• Inspire students to explore the wider impact of technology in society and the modern workplace.
• Plan and deliver well-structured lessons that challenge and support learners of all abilities.
• Assess student progress effectively and provide clear, constructive feedback.
• Prepare students thoroughly for GCSE examinations and coursework components.
• Contribute to the continued development of the Computer Science curriculum and digital learning initiatives.
• Support enrichment opportunities such as coding clubs, STEM events, robotics activities or digital competitions.
• Play an active role in the pastoral life of the school, including form tutoring where required.
