Job summary

New Horizons Special School is seeking an enthusiastic Art Teacher to join as a 0.6 FTE (three days per week). You will teach Art across Key Stages 2, 3 and 4 and lead BTEC Art and Design pathways, aiming to inspire pupils through engaging creative experiences while supporting SEMH/ASD needs and inclusive learning.

The role requires nurturing creativity, building confidence, and offering practical skills development within a supportive school and Trust environment that values professional growth.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
• Experience delivering Art across primary and secondary phases preferred
• Ability to support pupils with SEMH/ASD and inclusive learning

Responsibilities

• Teach Art across KS2–KS4 and lead BTEC Art and Design delivery
• Create engaging, inclusive lessons supporting academic and personal development
• Foster creativity, confidence and practical artistic skills in pupils
