Job summary

The Education Network, in partnership with a specialist Alternative Provision in Birmingham, seeks a passionate Art Teacher for a long-term supply post. You will teach small groups of students who face barriers to learning, using practical, creative projects to rebuild confidence and rekindle an interest in education.

With QTS or equivalent teaching experience, you will adapt lessons to individual needs, maintain positive behaviour, and collaborate with pastoral staff to support SEMH learners

Qualifications

• QTS is essential for this role.
• Experience teaching Art at secondary level is desirable.
• Ability to engage learners through practical, creative projects.
• Strong relationships with students and staff are valued.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging Art lessons to small groups.
• Adapt lessons to meet individual learning needs.
• Support students with SEMH needs or challenging behaviours.
• Build positive relationships and encourage engagement with learning.
• Monitor progress and contribute to individual learning plans.
