Job summary

Supply Desk Ltd. is seeking an Art Teacher to inspire students with creative, high-quality art lessons. You will plan and deliver a range of artistic techniques, encourage creativity, and support portfolio development through diverse media.

The role emphasizes safeguarding, differentiation for SEND, and promoting critical thinking in a welcoming school environment. DBS checks are required or to be obtained.

Qualifications

• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
• Understanding of safeguarding procedures and child protection
• Flexible, proactive and enthusiastic approach to teaching and supporting students' development

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, well-structured art lessons across relevant age groups.
• Teach a range of artistic techniques and skills (drawing, painting, printmaking, sculpture, mixed media).
• Encourage students to express creativity and develop their own artistic styles.
• Assess, monitor and record student progress with constructive feedback.
• Differentiate lessons to support varied abilities, including SEND.
• Prepare students for assessments and build portfolios.
• Introduce artists and movements to broaden knowledge.
• Promote critical thinking and analysis of works.
• Maintain a safe, organized, creative classroom environment.
