Outcomes First Group's Abbey Gardens is a brand-new specialist school for young people aged 11-16 with SEMH needs. Opened in June 2026, it offers a nurturing, inclusive environment where every student is supported to thrive, building confidence, resilience and essential life skills alongside the National Curriculum adapted to individual needs.

As an Art, Creative Arts & DT Teacher you will deliver high-quality lessons in small classes, plan personalised learning, collaborate with support staff

Qualifications

• QTS/QTLS or equivalent required.
• Experience teaching Art, Creative Arts, DT or related subjects.
• Creative and innovative teaching approach.
• Able to engage students with diverse learning needs.
• Driving licence required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging Art, Creative Arts and DT lessons to individuals and small groups.
• Plan and deliver high-quality lessons tailored to each student’s needs.
• Monitor, assess and report on student progress and achievements.
• Create stimulating learning environments that inspire creativity.
• Develop personalised education and behaviour plans.
• Lead curriculum delivery, assessment and subject development.
• Support students in developing self-regulation, confidence and independence.
• Contribute to school improvement initiatives and wider school life.
