Job summary

TeacherActive is working with a warm specialist alternative provision school in Tyldesley to recruit an Art Teacher for KS3/KS4 from October on a long-term, full-time basis. You will teach Photography, Digital Art and Fine Art, delivering engaging lessons while maintaining consistent behaviour management.

You must have QTS with an Art specialism and experience across KS3/KS4, plus the ability to support pupils with SEMH needs.

Qualifications

• QTS with an Art specialism and KS3/KS4 experience.
• Experience delivering Photography, Digital Art and Fine Art.
• Experience supporting young people with SEMH and behavioural difficulties.
• Excellent classroom and behaviour management.

Responsibilities

Salary: £170 - £250 per day

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a warm and welcoming specialist alternative provision school in Tyldesley. The school supports young people with mental health difficulties and behavioural struggles and has achieved an 'Outstanding' OFSTED rating.

The school is looking to take on an Art Teacher on a long-term, full-time basis from October, teaching students across Key Stage 3 / KS3 and Key Stage 4 / KS4. The successful Art Teacher will deliver Photography, Digital Art and Fine Art while providing consistent classroom management and confidently supporting pupils who may display challenging behaviour.

The successful Art Teacher will have:

• QTS with an Art specialism
• Experience teaching Art across Key Stage 3 / KS3 and Key Stage 4 / KS4
• Experience delivering Photography, Digital Art and Fine Art
• Experience supporting young people with SEMH needs and behavioural difficulties
• Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
• A patient, resilient and adaptable approach
