Job summary

Supply Hive Wales is seeking Learning Support Assistants to support primary schools across Cardiff from September 2026. You’ll help children learn, grow and feel confident in themselves in a busy classroom environment.

You’ll work closely with teachers, delivering 1:1 or small group support, preparing resources, aiding activities, and helping pupils stay focused during lessons, transitions and outdoor activities.

Qualifications

• Supports pupils with learning, 1:1 or small groups
• Assists class teacher with activities and resources
• Works with children needing help to stay focused
• Supports pupils during various parts of the day including transitions and outdoor activities

Responsibilities

• Supporting pupils with their learning, either 1:1 or as part of a small group.
• Helping the class teacher with activities, resources and general classroom support.
• Working with children who may need some extra help to stay focused and engaged during lessons.
• Supporting pupils during different parts of the school day, including group work, outdoor activities and transitions between lessons.
• Building positive relationships with children and becoming a supportive presence in the classroom.
