Job summary

Resource Recruitment in Poole, Dorset, is seeking a Mechanical Inspector for a 6-month initial contract. You will predominately inspect machined parts from sub-contractors to ensure they meet standards and customer requirements.

Hours are 37.5 per week, Mon-Thu 7:30-16:00 and Fri 7:30-13:00. The role supports an expanding automotive-focused engineering team that values accuracy and inspection discipline.

Qualifications

• Previous inspection experience.
• Experience working with machined parts.
• Good use of measuring equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.

Responsibilities

• Inspect machined parts against engineering drawings.
• Inspect goods in to ensure compliance and accuracy – visual & manual inspection.
• Updating inspection reports.
• Raising NCR reports.
• Supporting production with quality checking of products - visual & manual inspection.

Inspector

Job Location: Poole, Dorset

Job Type: Initial 6 month contract

Salary: Up to £17.94 per hour / £35,000 per annum, depending on level of experience

Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday – Thursday 7.30am – 4pm & Friday 7.30am – 1pm

An opportunity has arisen for an established engineering company based in Poole. They are going through another period growth where their order book for the next several years is increasing massively and with that need additional support to help them.

The company undertake new build and repairs on products for the automotive industry (special purpose vehicles). And take pride in their products being built to a high spec, even the repairs they undertake are sent back to the customer in a ‘like new’ standard.

To help meet customer and engineering demand, they are looking for a Mechanical Inspector on a 6-month contract to predominately inspect machined parts coming into the business from sub-contractors, ensuring that they meet standards and customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect machined parts against engineering drawings


• Inspect goods in to ensure compliance and accuracy – visual & manual inspection


• Updating inspection reports


• Raising NCR reports


• Supporting production with quality checking of products - visual & manual inspection
