You'll play a critical role in ensuring inspections are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest evidential standards while driving service performance and continuous improvement.

About the Job

As the Inspections Delivery Manager, you'll take ownership of the planning, coordination and delivery of the annual inspection programme, managing a team of Site Inspectors to ensure performance targets, service levels and compliance requirements are consistently achieved.

Working closely with internal teams, clients and stakeholders, you'll oversee inspection quality, operational risk management, resource planning and reporting, ensuring a first-class service is delivered across the estate portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain annual and rolling inspection plans, ensuring inspections are completed within agreed timescales and SLAs.
  • Monitor service performance, including completion rates, productivity, audit outcomes, defect management and access compliance.
  • Act as the escalation point for critical health & safety, security, asset condition and operational risks identified during inspections.
  • Ensure all inspection records, evidence and documentation are completed accurately and uploaded within required timescales.
  • Manage no-access, incomplete and failed inspections, ensuring appropriate actions, escalations and records are maintained.
  • Conduct quality audits and support the continuous improvement of inspection processes, SOPs and operational procedures.
  • Produce weekly and monthly performance reports, highlighting risks, trends, service performance and improvement actions.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, customers and internal operational teams.
  • Support inspection delivery directly when required to ensure programme completion.
To be successful you will have:

We're looking for a strong people leader with experience managing field-based operational teams and delivering planned programmes within facilities management, property, compliance, estate management or a similar environment.

You'll also have:

  • Experience managing inspection, compliance or operational service delivery programmes.
  • Strong understanding of evidence capture, defect reporting and operational escalations.
  • Excellent planning, scheduling and resource management skills.
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities across a complex and geographically dispersed estate.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience producing performance reports, action plans and service improvement initiatives.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, including engagement with senior-level stakeholders.
  • A solid understanding of health & safety, security risks, access management and contractor management principles.
  • A customer-focused approach with high attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • The ability to remain calm and decisive when managing operational risks and incidents.
  • Strong IT and reporting skills.

Qualifications

Essential

  • Full UK Driving Licence.
  • IWFM Level 4 qualification or equivalent experience.

Desirable

  • IOSH Managing Safely, NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent Health & Safety qualification.

What We're Looking For

The successful candidate will demonstrate:

  • A commitment to keeping everyone safe.
  • A passion for delivering outstanding customer service.
  • Commercial awareness and a strong understanding of performance metrics and contractual obligations.
  • The ability to build trusted, respectful relationships.
  • A positive and adaptable approach to change.
  • A continuous improvement mindset.
  • A leadership style that balances accountability with support.
  • The ability to empower and develop teams to achieve exceptional results.
