Job summary

Streamline Search is recruiting an Inspection and Testing Engineer for a well-established structural steel contractor in the UK. You will work with Project Managers and Site Managers to ensure inspection and testing requirements are met across projects.

You'll conduct statutory examinations, report findings, advise clients on legal obligations, prepare compliant reports, and maintain knowledge of LOLER, PUWER and BS EN 1090.

Qualifications

• Mechanical engineering background with a relevant qualification or experience.
• Experience in inspection, testing, or compliance environments.
• Knowledge of LOLER 1998 and PUWER 1998.
• Experience inspecting lifting equipment and work equipment.
• Attention to detail and compliance-focused.

Responsibilities

• Conduct statutory examinations and inspections on lifting equipment, work equipment, plant and access equipment.
• Prepare detailed inspection reports meeting regulatory standards.
• Advise clients on legal obligations under relevant regulations.
• Coordinate inspections with project and site managers during manufacturing and installation.
• Identify and report unsafe conditions and recommend corrective actions.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of LOLER, PUWER and BS EN 1090.
