Key duties and responsibilities
- Manage a mixed caseload of insolvency appointments and assist team members
- Administer insolvency cases from advice to closure, including Administrations, CVLs, MVLs, Liquidations, CVAs, and occasionally, Bankruptcies
- Address creditors’ claims, including retention of title, secured, preferential, and unsecured claims
- Report to secured creditors
- Assist in ongoing trading activities on-site as needed
- Prepare documentation for statutory meetings
- Support employees with claims and liaise with redundancy services
- Handle daily correspondence, including non-standard items
- Maintain accurate books and records, ensuring their safekeeping and proper storage
- Conduct statutory investigations and pursue antecedent transactions
- Manage estate monies through banking and cheque requests
- Complete VAT and Corporation tax returns
- Ensure compliance with legislation, including SIPS
- Update case tasks and diaries
- Liaise with professionals like agents, solicitors, and accountants
- Prepare sale-related documents
- Maintain case checklists
- Attend meetings and participate in marketing events
- Train and support junior staff members
Reporting, relationships & management
- Support and train staff, delegate tasks
- Assist other case executives as needed
- Report case progress to IP
Qualifications & experience
- AAT or CPI qualification is advantageous but not mandatory
- Experience with corporate insolvency appointments in an IP firm is required
- Knowledge of IPS Cloud is beneficial but not essential
- Strong IT skills, including Excel, Word, and IPS
- Maintain high professional standards
