Job summary

MSC Mediterranean Shipping Company UK in Ipswich is seeking an Inside Sales Executive to support Far East Ocean Exports. You will develop and win new business by building strong customer relationships, handling pricing enquiries, and converting quotes into bookings with a proactive sales approach.

Qualifications

Previous shipping knowledge and experience is helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

Win new business and meet targets by growing relationships.
Develop new and existing business from pricing enquiries and bookings.
Follow up quotations across channels until bookings and repeat business.
Retain and grow accounts, contributing to revenue targets.
Ensure quotations are processed accurately and promptly.
Collaborate with Commercial teams, especially MSC Geneva, for support.
Gain understanding of customers, systems, and make autonomous commercial decisions.

Inside Sales Executive - Far East - Ocean Exports

Full time, permanent

We are looking for an Inside Sales Executive to join our Export Commercial team in Ipswich, supporting our Far East Export Trades.

This role focuses on maintaining and developing customer relationships, working closely with internal teams, overseas agencies, MSC Geneva, and both new and existing customers.

How you will help us and what you can expect

Active desire to assist in the winning of new business and meet targets, exploring all opportunities to increase volume by developing closer customer relationships where required by Sales and Trade
Develop new and existing business from pricing enquiries, securing new bookings with a target driven approach
Actively follow up quotations using all communication channels until bookings are achieved and new repeat business is fully secured
Proactively retaining and growing accounts, including any research and development required, mindful of contribution towards overall revenue targets
Ensure quotations are processed in a timely, accurate manner
Strong communication and liaison across the Commercial teams and the wider business, particularly MSC Geneva, to ensure full commercial and operational support is given the Trade
You can expect to spend time with us, to learn about us, our customers, and our systems. You will be given the autonomy to make commercial decisions and play a vital part in the success of our business

Skills and experience you'll bring to us
