Job summary

Woking & Sam Beare Hospices is seeking an experienced Staff Nurse for the Inpatient Unit, delivering compassionate, patient-centered palliative care from admission through to end of life.

You will be a registered nurse with current NMC registration, able to work independently and as part of a team, and communicate with sensitivity to patients and families.

Qualifications

• You will be a Registered Nurse with current NMC registration.
• Experience in palliative care or end-of-life care is desirable.
• You will work well independently and in a team, communicating with sensitivity.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, dignified and holistic nursing care from admission to discharge or end of life.
• Use clinical knowledge to support patients with complex palliative needs.
• Collaborate with hospice colleagues and external agencies to ensure continuity of care.
• Support junior staff, Health Care Assistants and new starters through supervision and guidance.
• Contribute to service development, audit activity and continuous improvement.

Inpatient Unit Staff Nurse Palliative Care

Are you a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse looking to make a meaningful difference to patients and families receiving specialist palliative and end-of-life care? We are looking for a Staff Nurse to join our Inpatient Unit at Woking & Sam Beare Hospice and Well-being Care.

About the role

• Provide safe, dignified and holistic nursing care from admission through to discharge or end of life.
• Use your clinical knowledge to support patients with complex palliative care needs.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues across the hospice and external agencies to ensure continuity of care.

About you

• You will be a Registered Nurse with current NMC registration.
• You will have relevant clinical experience and a commitment to delivering excellent patient-centred care.
• You will be able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• You will communicate with sensitivity, professionalism and confidence with patients, families and colleagues.
• Experience or a qualification in palliative care would be desirable, but is not essential.
